What do I need to bring with me?

Will there be any extra expenses on the day?

There are no national park park entrances fees or other fees. We provide general snacks and/or a meal (breakfast or lunch depending on your tour). You may bring additional snacks, but remember to take all rubbish items back out of the park with you. Some tours will have opportunities for purchasing additional food/drinks but most will not, so you'll need to take this in to account.

How does the pick up/drop off from my accommodation work?

Can I book a private tour for a group?

Yes, ABSOLUTELY! Find out more and book instantly  here  or Send us a message for more information.

Will I be fit enough to complete the walk?

The tours offered cater for varying fitness and skill levels. We will never be racing to complete the walk in record breaking time. We prefer to take it easy so you have time to learn about the nature around you and appreciate the scenery on offer. This being said, you know your own limits best and we're here to work with you to chose a tour that will suit you perfectly. All of our walks are on we'll cleared tracks  (minimum width 1.5 metres) - there's no  bashing through bush, scrambling over boulders or climbing cliffs. Walks do however all very in length and some have more uphill than others. Read our walk descriptions carefully and check your walk's distance, duration and difficulty rating here. If you're still unsure, consider a private tour so the tour is bespoke to your needs or just get in touch - we are here to help!

Will I make it back to my accommodation on time?

We have allowed plenty of time for stops, food plus a bit of a buffer so all things going to plan, yes, you'll be back within the time indicated. BUT, mother nature does tend to do as she pleases and can not be controlled, hence there is always a chance that things will happen outside of our control that may mean you're back later than planned. We'll always keep you updated throughout our tour so you'll know if we're on track and you can plan ahead accordingly.

Is my tour guaranteed to run?

We do require a minimum number persons per tour for it to proceed. Lucky for you our minimum number is low, so the chances of us not going for this reason is low. We will  run the tour rain, hail or shine, but of course there are exceptions to this, and if its not safe to walk due to any conditions, we will cancel the tour and you will receive a full refund or credit towards a tour in the future. For more information, check out our cancellation policies in Terms & Conditions.

What if its raining or too hot?

On most of our tracks the rainforest provides a natural canopy that provides glorious shade on those hot and/or rainy days. We aim to complete walks at a comfortable time in the day. It also helps to remember that the climate is a large part of what makes our forest so special, so bring suncream, a hat and raincoat and embrace the tropical climate!

I have a dietary requirement, will I be able to eat the food provided?

Please do not hesitate to let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies you have when you make your booking. We will always do our best to cater for everyone's needs!

Can I do more than one tour? On the same day?

Absolutely! Most tours are scheduled for morning departures. We would love to take you on a tour in the afternoon as well, just ask and we can help you do the walks you want, when you want.

Is the rainforest safe?

When we are in the national park we are in the home of thousands of animal and plant species. Most of these are friendly but some not-so-much. When we are there, we stick to the paths, look and listen at all times - this keeps us safe and the forests inhabitants happy! Your experienced guide ensures everyone's safety is the number one priority.

Are the tours child friendly?

We love sharing some lessons about flora and fauna with children and will even provide them with a fun rain forest bingo game to play along the way. The age and ability of the child must be thought about, but generally speaking it is no problem. Consider our shorter guided walks for little legs or think about  using a child carrier for younger children as the tracks are not pram friendly.

Can you help me with an airport transfer before or after my tour?

We provide private airport transfers for any customers flying in/out of Proserpine Airport (PPP) directly before or after their tour. Please let us know if you require this additional service at the time of booking. We can also drop off or pick up from the Port of Airlie Marina for Hamilton island customers or from Coral Sea Marina for in bound or outbound boats.

Your tour looks great! What else should I do in Airlie Beach? Where should I stay?

There's so much to see and do here. Once you've stretched your legs on our tour, why not get your sea legs on and book a boat trip to the famous Whitehaven Beach? Or maybe you are tired from all that fresh air and bushwalking with us? Need a place to rest for the night? You can book all of your accommodation and other amazing experiences here.

Can I pay with Cash, Bitcoin, Paypal, Alipay, WePay or similar methods?

If, for whatever reason, you're unable to make payment on our website at the time for booking, please call or message us to reserve your spot on the tour and we will happily arrange  for you to pay by Cash, Bitcoin, Paypal, Alipay, WePay or similar payment methods.
